Kedington Ltd Joins ExcelRedstone

London, UK, 14th December 2018 — ExcelRedstone has announced an agreement that will see Ireland’s largest IT network infrastructure solutions company, Kedington Ltd, become part of ExcelRedstone.

ExcelRedstone is the UK’s largest pure play physical IT infrastructure, network and connectivity company, with unrivalled expertise throughout the smart building, office and data centre environments. It was formed in June 2018 through the acquisition by Excel IT Ltd of Redstone Converged Solutions Ltd and Commensus Ltd from RedstoneConnect plc.

Kedington is the largest IT network infrastructure solutions company in Ireland. Operating from offices in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Derry, Belfast and Copenhagen, the company provides active and passive IT network solutions, structured cabling and data centre engineering services to organisations of all sizes in the public and private sector.

The addition of Kedington sees ExcelRedstone further strengthen its market-leading position across the UK and Ireland, as well as expanding its presence in mainland Europe and beyond. Services within Ireland and for existing Kedington customers will continue to be delivered through the Kedington brand.

ExcelRedstone Chief Executive Officer, Barry Horgan said: “There is a clear and compelling alignment between ExcelRedstone and Kedington, both in the range of services we offer and in our shared values of customer service, quality and innovation.

“By bringing these businesses together we are creating a market-leading company that will offer a well-established customer base a wider range of services and an even greater degree of excellence, as we leverage all the expertise within the expanded group.

“With Kedington’s strong position in the vibrant market in Ireland, plus additional European footholds including routes into the Nordic economies, we are also building a robust platform from which ExcelRedstone/Kedington can become the leading IT infrastructure provider across the EMEA region and beyond.”

Kedington Managing Director, Matt Porter said: “We are proud to have built Kedington into a business which counts among its customers some of the world’s largest corporate enterprises and data centre technology providers. However, we recognise that these customers increasingly need partners capable of fully supporting them as they grow, not only in Ireland but globally. As part of ExcelRedstone, Kedington will now be able to provide our customers with a scale, breadth of capability and international dimension that they now require. This agreement means Kedington will be better placed than ever to meet the expanding service and scale requirements of Ireland’s increasingly global economy.”
