Kedington join this sub-initiative of Host In Ireland
1 Day….100 people….2 acres….2000 trees
So here is the problem:
Bee pollination contributes to 70% of the world’s food source. The success of our species is dependent on theirs! We are set to lose almost 90% of our bumblebees in Ireland by 2050 at the current rate of decline and last year alone they were down by 24% on the previous year. There are 98 species of bee in Ireland, nearly one third are threatened with extinction!
But…… we as an industry, can make a difference!
This initiative aims to unite an industry on a collective mission to create a more biodiverse and sustainable environment for Bees and others species to thrive once again. It’s all about to come to fruition!
There are two parts to the initiative: 1 big day where we make a lasting difference and a longer term strategic plan – October 25th!
And second, we will announce, following the phase one project day, the launch of a long term initiative, which is a first for any industry to launch our very own Pollinator Plan for data centres (backed by the national biodiversity data centre).
25th October: A day that will change a part of our landscape permanently and for the better.
