Project Manager

This role includes travelling overseas and Project Managing IT Infrastructure work on site. Projects could require stays on site from one week to several months depending on the scale of the projects undertaken. The on-site Project Manager candidate should have experience of Data Centre work, with an emphasis on onsite coordination, technical expertise, implementation, PC skills and personnel management.

The role includes:

Project Supervision

  • Project Scheduling
    • Schedules milestone deliverables
    • Weekly reporting to Client
    • Management and on site reporting internal
    • Development of project trackers and reporting
  • Project installations and delivery
  • Material procurement
  • Coordinate deliveries to and from site
  • Check materials conform to specifications
  • Estimation of installation timelines productivity
  • Coordinate on site with GC and Client throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Team coordination, team set up weekly daily coordination meetings on site
  • Company representation at Client /Vendor/GC meetings
  • Team Development and training
    • Onsite assessment of staff and training requirements
    • Ensure skills matrix and development of staff abilities to deliver quality
  • Site Set up
    • Coordinate with GC
    • Attend daily / weekly GC Site activities meetings
    • Site office set up and storage facilities for materials and plant
    • Monitoring of staff
      • Timesheet approvals
      • Holiday approvals
      • Timekeeping attendance

Quality QA/QC

  • Quality Program development
  • Ensure high levels of QA/QC are delivered to Client
  • Quality assurance and delivery throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Ensuring testing procedure and process and specification adherence
  • Implementation of policies and future proofing quality procedures
  • Education and training upskilling of staff
  • Product and vendor tooling
    • Ensure test equipment meets specifications and requirements for project
    • Ensure test equipment is maintained and certified and meets the Standards
    • Ensure technicians are trained to use test equipment
    • Test results delivery, correct set up and TIA/ISO specifications compliant
    • Client’s requirements for QA/QC
    • Attendance of Quality QA/QC meetings
    • Must have a technical background in Fibre Optic cabling components networks and topology and test and splice equipment
    • As Built Drawings delivery

Health and Safety

  • Health and Safety aspects development of safe systems of work, method statements and risk assessments
  • Ensure Health and safety is followed on site, PPE compliance, housekeeping, manual handling techniques /Safe Pass compliance, first aid reporting, H&S site audits
  • Plant & equipment risk assess for the site needs & coordinate with HS manager
    • Ensure plant equipment are certified and inspected prior to use
    • Ensure plant and equipment are stored correctly and plant list is maintained
    • Ensure Plant and equipment are of the best requirement for the particular task i.e. engage with H&S suppliers regularly
  • Delivery of toolbox talks and coordination with H&S on topics required
  • Attend H&S meetings
