At Kedington, we are proud to support the CIF annual Construction Safety Week which ran from the 25th to 29th October.
Construction Safety Week is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness around Health and Safety and on what we can do together to help prevent accidents. The goal is to eliminate accidents at work, to drive continual improvement in safety and health performance, to celebrate best practice and to reinforce and promote the importance of safety, health and overall wellbeing in work and in life.
The daily topics covered were ‘Drive Safe this Bank Holiday’, ‘Mind Your Health’, ‘Work Safe at Height’, ‘Safe Lifting / Safe Plant’ and ‘Managing Hazardous Energies’. Daily activities in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Belfast and Denmark focused around each topic and we ran relevant toolbox talks, webinars and fundraising events. Our toolbox talks were very successful over the week with a total of 478 sign in sheets which covered all CIF topics.
We want to thank all the Kedington staff who took part in the Safety Week and who generously contributed to ‘donation for donuts’ and ‘pizza day’ to raise funds for Pieta House. And well done to our Health and Safety team for their continuous hard work on ensuring the safety of our staff.
